SSQ Ultra Del Carmen Blue-black roofing slate

The roofs of the new buildings at Mud Lane cover a large proportion of the site and as they can be seen from the surrounding higher properties, the choice of slate was crucial as it would be visible from all angles. The old clay tiles on the roof of the existing Edwardian buildings had to be re-laid whilst the new buildings were roofed in slate SSQ Del Carmen Ultra Slates were specified on the new buildings to complement the period classical style of the existing buildings. Architect Bob Bowman, Saunders Boston comments.
