In this project, various dimensions were used to create a random walling effect at a depth of 10cm. The specific sizes used were 4,6,8cm widths by random lengths starting at a minimum of 25cm.

The corner stones were cut from larger pieces ensuring single pieces would be used to connect the walls to one another.

Longer stones were used under the windows to maintain the sleek appearance of the exterior of the villa.

Inside, slabs of the Riverstone were used in a width of 40cm, with lengths starting at 45cm and typically exceeding 1m. The slabs were furnished in a sawn finish to mirror the finishing on the walls of the villa and complement the extensive use of glass throughout.

These slabs would lead out to the exterior, as the material is suitable for exterior use even in climates as harsh as Norway’s.

Following on from the use of Riverstone on this project, the material is now under consideration for other notable developments in and around the vicinity of Oslo.
